You don’t have the time to commit
Can’t afford to continue
Can’t keep up with the others
That style of Dance isn’t for you
You want to focus more on schollwork

Thoose are some good excuses. I would advise you not to quit dance though. You could go in a lower class or start at a different centre with a friend in a begginers class.

Dont use an excuse. Tell the truth you are most likely paying good money to attend these classes and if you are not enjoying it or feel that you don’t fit then leave. There is no need to sugar coat it for the instructors. Trust me they will live with themselves you would not be the 1st student to quit. Also you might consider that maybe the level you are dancing at is to advanced. If you have already paid for the classes you most likely will not get a refund so you might suggest that your instructor move you down a level. Who knows it may be just what you need and at the very least you wont be trowing the remainder of your money out the window.

Just say that your not sure this was the best thing and you’d like to leave. The teacher will respect your decision if they are decent.
If you wanted you could spin a lie like you’ve got a job some where and it clashes with the timetable.

As a dance instructor myself, I think that you should be honest with the teacher and tell them that you cannot keep up and as a result, are not comfortable taking the class. I am surprised that the instructor has not recommended taking a lower-level class already. I WOULD recommend trying a lower level class and seeing how you like it – don’t give up dancing just because you were placed in a level that was too difficult. Good luck!

Don’t make excuses. Tell the instructor that it just isn’t for you. There’s no reason to lie about it. Look for classes for beginners, where you won’t feel left behind.

Harden up, and just say “I don’t want to do this, I’m not enjoying it the way you think I should be able & unless they want to pay for extra classes to avoid you quitting …. do what YOU want” … seriously.
