How Can i get my Fiancee to Forgo the First dance?

Question by Jayden: How Can i get my Fiancee to Forgo the First dance?
Our Wedding is about 4months away and i have been trying to get my fiancee to like forgo the Traditional first dance because for one i can’t dance worth a flip and two i don’t really want to do it in front of 250 people =/. I have been trying to convince my fiancee to get rid of it since we began planning the wedding but she is making a huge deal out of it for some reason and i don’t understand. I have been letting her make this wedding into her special/dream wedding but seriously why can’t she do this one thing for me? Advice?

What is the best way to build a dance studio?

Question by cheercat2012: What is the best way to build a dance studio?
I am thinking about building a little dance studio in my basement and I was wondering what things I would need to know like the best flooring, mirrors, barres, etc,.

-How large should the space be on average?
-What brand of floor?
-Is there a special way I should clean the floor?
-Anything else you think I should know? Any tips?

First you will need a sprung or floating floor. You cannot dance on cement. Then marley on top. Your biggest problem is once you put in a sprung floor you loose height and your ceiling is too close for jumps usually. Let me tell you, this is very expensive! If you don’t dance on a sprung or floating floor, you will damage your knees and joints. To learn more about what is involved go to this site. They do have the best prices as well a so-it-yourself- installation instructions.

Remember, dancing at home you get no corrections and can build bad habits that are hard to break. Instead of spending all this will cost, use the money to take class everyday. It will be cheaper and you will get corrections and become a better dancer than trying on your own.

What is the difference between break dancing and hip hop dance?

Question by Jey: What is the difference between break dancing and hip hop dance?
So my friend and I were planing to go dance lessons together. But they have ‘hip hop’ and ‘break dance’, what are the differences between them?

Best answer:

Answer by Lady Luck
Hey,
Hiphop is generally the dancing side of things and is named so because it is usually done to hip hop music. The moves include things like popping and locking; stuff like that.
Break dancing is more the ‘tricks’ side of things; backflips, head spinning etc.
Hope I helped!

Question by ak907: What type of tights are good for a dance class?
I have my first dance class on Monday. And the outfit we have to wear for the class is tights, shorts and a tank top. I was wondering what type of tights would be better the kind with a foot part or the kind without?

Thanks!

Best answer:

Answer by Broadway Babe
Depends on what class of dance it is. If it’s Jazz, where tan tights. If it’s ballet where pink to light tan. If it’s tap where any kind you want.

What is some good reception music to dance to?

Question by Saydee J: What is some good reception music to dance to?
I have been looking around but I was wanting some suggestions for actual people :) I would like some good songs to dance to at the reception. I am really trying to stay away from rap because I hate it and so does my future husband. I am into country and he is into rock and we both like old rock music. I am looking for good fast dancing music that will get everyone up and dancing. We already have a lot of slow songs. Thank you so much!

Top 40 from the 60′s, 70′s, 80′s, 90′s is awesome. Choose songs that are upbeat and people will dance.

At my wedding, the band played a lot of Beatles, and the older crowd loved it. Motown is good too as most people know those songs.
